WASHINGTON D.C. EDUCATIONAL DOCTORAL PROGRAM CURRICULUM

Drexel’s unique doctoral program curriculum prepares students with in-depth knowledge to prepare them to be leaders in their field of study. Drexel’s team of EdD advisors work-one-on-one with students to develop a plan of study that meets their educational and professional goals.

• Plans of Study - includes a sample plan of study for each educational doctorate concentration area
• Course Descriptions - Drexel’s online catalog provides titles and descriptions for each course in the EdD program offered at our Washington D.C. affiliate location.

In order to graduate, all courses must be passed with a grade of B or better. In the fifth quarter, the comprehensive exam must be passed. In the ninth quarter, the dissertation proposal must be approved by the dissertation committee. In terms 10-12, students register for Dissertation. Under the School of Education's policy, students pay one credit of tuition but register for multiple credits. A minimum of two credits are needed in the twelfth quarter to accrue the 60 credits needed for graduation.

WASHINGTON D.C. DOCTORAL PROGRAM - TUITION COSTS AND FINANCIAL AID

Whether you are a Washington D.C. resident looking to advance your career in educational policy or looking to relocate to the Washington D.C. area, Drexel University can provide one-to-one financial advising to prospective graduate students through Drexel Central.

The costs for graduate students in semester and quarter programs depend upon the number of credits registered for each semester. Drexel Central lists the cost of tuition for all academic degree programs, including the Washington D.C. EdD degree program. The office assists and advises students and families in identifying and procuring financial resources required for study at Drexel.

Students are provided with a DrexelOne account, which allows them to check the status of their financial aid awards online 24-hours a day. Drexel Central has professional staff available on all three Drexel campuses who can help students address questions or concerns about financial aid applications, awards, and other financing options.

To qualify for Drexel University School of Education's Washington DC EdD program, students must have a master's degree in education or an appropriate field.
